Another Day.... Another Dollar

Rounding off my black friday sales... Last video game I will probably be this year is Fall out: New Vegas. Only cost me $20 on amazon with next day shipping. It should get here this morning sometime.

Too bad i wont get to play it. I need to do some homework and catch up on sleep.

Aside from the game i purchased some clothing and a nice speaker set for my pc and xbox. Logitech sold me on a set. Can't wait to try it out.

Now all i need is some sneakers and my turtle beaches and i'? set!

Long time... no life?

Black Ops is pretty good.

So after standing in line for 3 hours, playing the game for another 3 hours and waking up today to play some more, its not a dissapointment. The game is actually pretty good. I see myself playing black ops when im bored.

No, im not talking about the show! Although i love the series 24 and I havent been able to watch all the seasons, eventually I will but anywho, Im talking about the countdown till the 9th. Whats going to happen on the 9th? Well according to the ancient civilization known as the Maya's the world is going to end.

Now if you believed that up there you my friend are a fool. That was also a joke. I love my readers for wasting their valuable time on me. Dont take this so serious please! Ok enough with the giddy-up Black ops comes out the 9th and I will be receiving my copy that morning but sadly I will be at work.

I can't call out because I have been called out these past 2 weeks and this week I only work 3 days anyway, so I need the money. So Im counting on my little brother to stay home "sick" and receive my copy and beast as much as he can until i get home.

Sure i have class that day too, but I don't think I will make it...

The blackops scramble?

You ever get so excited over a release of a videogame that you need to get it early? Like if you dont have it now you wont be satisfied?

Well im feeling that way now! I been scrambling all over NYC (not literally, I used google and called stores ) to find the game for sale early since friday. Unfortunately I havent had any luck yet. I have the game ordered on amazon with a $20 gift card. I can always use the gift card to buy nfs hot pursuit or assassins creed brotherhood. So idc about it im still saving.

The thing is I am in dire need to do homework like im falling behind for the first time and its pissing me off that I can't keep up with school. Now that black ops is coming out it means 2 things:

1) I wont ever make it to 15th prestige.
2) I wont be making a good grade this semeser.

Which is the obvious one? LOL

Tmobile Vs AT&T

Tmobile G2 OTA!

Ok I have had my G2 temorarily rooted. With root access i been able to overclock my phone to 1.479ghz with no problems. I have many neat apps i can use that i wouldnt be able to if i wasn't rooted.

Meanless to say, when i found out about the over the air update (OTA) tmobile was releasing i was anxious to get my hand son wifi-calling and the optimization in the update.

Well because of a root-access app i screwed myself and had to restore my phone to factory but because of titaniumbackup pro i was able to back up about 99% of my system data and apps+app data and restore it after the flashed back to the factory rom.

I also went ahead and manually got my OTA online and flashed it on to my phone. Achievement unlocked 100g (gspot2 sexified). Now i am feeling really tech savy and i want to keep going. Too bad we dont have perm. Root yet other wise i wouldnt sleep modding my phone.

This was just a little story i thought i should share with my fellow readers. If you have a G2 or any android device and you wish to root/hack/mod it please leave a comment with some contact info so I may help you achieve your goal.

Kinect only for big living rooms?

Ok so even though i bashed all over kinect i find myself watching videos of people making a fool of them selves. I also have been watching tutorials on the proper way to set the thing up. Most of my friends that have talked about buying it will be disheartened to learn the following.

Kinect needs you at least 6-8 feet away from the kinect sensor in order to function properly. What? Are you serious? So your telling me i either need a bigger room or even a new house? Haa! I laugh at you microsoft. Your a hilarious one aren't you. No way im paying $150 for this device and then remodeling my room just to be able to make a fool of myself.

Most of my friends dont have the room either, im still intrigued to see if they still end up buying this and giving it a testrun. I obviously wouldnt be able to play it even if i bought it because i only have about 4 feet between my tv and my bed. If i were to set up my living room i would be able to but i dont have the money to build a home theatre. I would need to because my family doesnt use the living room and we dont have a Tv out there.

So here is another Eff youu to motion sensoring non controller video games! Yay!

Im beasting!

Seriously... I'm beasting for the release of black ops. Not enough to drive 45min. To new jersey to the nearest wallmart to pick it up early, but enough to keep watching videos on the game over and over and trying to find it elsewhere to buy it earlier.

Fortunately, i have school work to keep me busy, not exciting i know but i have to do what i have to do. I havent been working much lately and i have had time to practice the FPS genre wile black ops arrives. Last night i went on a tear with my home boy Ares and playing Hq pro on mw2 i beasted. My last few games were rediculous. I went 60 and 20 on one of those and nearly got a nuke 2x in the same game on favela.

On the flip side remember me beasting for black ops a few lines ago? Well me and Ares have this store near by where we mite be able to get Black Ops tomorrow night!!! Can you say major nerd boner? NHmo

So hopefully tomorrow I will have some better news to blog about, lately life has just been really dull. Will be on the look out for news tho so make sure to keep reading my updates.

4g isn't real but this funny!

Many people boast about their Iphones or their sprint network stating that they are the fastest 4g network but truth be told none of the networks are truly 4g. Not even sprints WiMax.

What they state is 4g is actually 3g+. It doesnt qualify to be called 4g but due to the market and everyone thinking it is 4g, carriers are now dubbing 3g+ as 4g. If you google what 4g really is you will learn that we are still distant from any 4g network. But tmobile has probably created the fastest network 3g+ service. Said to be able to hit 21mbs download speed by the end of the year and doubling that by mid next year for those who are in coverage area. Keep in mind sprints network doesnt pass 14mbs download and I have no clue about AT&T because it sucks major donkey dick.

The first "4g" capable phone tmobile released was my beloved Tmobile G2. I already get 3g+ speeds but nowhere near the advertised speeds yet. Thank new yorks terrible coverage throughout the city for that. I get better service in the bronx.
Now the next phone coming out being "dubbed" the MyTouch 4g is releasing next week. Tmo has pulled out their guns and this is what they brought as fire power!

Nazi news?

Now this piece of article i read this morning on Oxcgn really got me pissed. Im tired of the media making our video games change. I want to play the real experience.

The article was about the video i last posted. (JFK + Fidel + Nixon and the other guy in zombie mode on black ops) The article was basically saying that the news and media was going to be all over this because jfk was such a significant figure for the us. They went on saying that nixon shouldnt be looked at as a bad ass hero wielding 2 uzi's in the video because he was such a scandalist during his presidency. Basically the whole article was stating that this part of the game should be excluded all together because it was against americans and it's just wrong.

Well for you my friend a big FUCK YOU. I like what i saw and i wouldnt have it ripped out of my game. I like what they did. It was unthinkable and to be looks bad ass. Im tired of the gaming industry letting off on their games because of "controversy". They are just video games. Let us play our fantasy games in peace and dont take out what we like most. Whatever compares to reality is what keeps us gamers interesting. In fact this is probably a plus for kids who dont know who these figures are. They will probably hear about jfk in class and will probably pay attention just to see who exactly is this guy i play as and what he was about.

Screw the media and screw developing companies who strip their games *cough* Electronic Arts *cough* Medal of honor *cough*... Sorry i am still recovering from my bad cold.

Preach!

My street has the longest name of any street i have seen in the bronx. I will not discuss this here but just know it has to do with the title.

On to better things in life, work day was slow due to the nasty cold outside. I got there late and they sent me home early. On the bright side i will be working earlier tomorrow and leaving early for school. Not too happy about school tho. Idk why but im not feeling these classes. Its going to be a long semester for sure.

Now Videogame talk! The count down to black ops is all over the place but we have no news about it =( but what we do have is a new xbox dashboard a long with some neat features like espn3, highlights of sports, and most of the college games live or replay. They also switched up the whole browsing experience. Netflix is a bit different. So is zune and almost everything else. Its nice but i dont care much for it because i dont play with my dash.

So with that I finish this post. Its time to sit back, eat some food and try and get sleep early. Tomorrow is a busy day.

Halloweenies

How i dislike halloween. I just dont like it. Maybe when i was young and beasted for candy but now it just seems pointless and stupid.

Anyway here i am. Im supposed to be asleep because i work in a few hours but i cant. Things on my mind and "the boardwalk empire" is really good as always. Plus my phone which is probably my most valuable possession. Even on top of my xbox and my beast ass computer. I own the Tmobile G2 this thing flies! I have it clocked @ 1.497ghz for no reason but because i can. I play gameboy games on it along with playstation games. Its just my perfect companion. I even blog thru it. So this thing keeps me busy all the time when im bored. If your looking for a beast ass phone i recommend this one.

Now on to real gaming... Nothing much to talk about. I only played the sims3 for about an hour today wile watching football. Only 7 more days for the release of black ops. Cant wait.

Anyway its about to be 3am. Lets get some shut eye.

Happy Halloween

Well i had many parties to attend to today and i chose to stay home and do homework. Call me a lame if you'd like but i just dont like halloween like that. I basically stopped drinking and i havent seen my old highschool buddies in a wile so i just didnt feel like playing catchup at a party.

So like i said, i stood home got half of my week 1's homework done and saw some movies today. Saw "shawn of the dead" "she's out of my league" also saw some shows on hbo that i missed last weekend.

Now i sit here bored after setting up my fantasyfootball roster for sunday. (Sure Win btw) I just dont feel like firing up fable3 again, i dont want to play anything. I wish i had something to do. Maybe i should have gone to the parties after all.

Weekend has Commenced

Hello everyone hows the begining of your weekend looking? Mine started out a little rocky yesterday. I went to Psychology class and the workload was heavy for only being the first day i took 5 pages worth of notes and have a project due very soon. But its a group thing so its not all on me, plus the team leader seems responsible so im with it. After school i went to get my paycheck only to learn they fired my manager. I was shocked he was mad cool with me but everyone else hated him. Thankfully the new manager is someone im also cool with and has a great sense of humour.

After all the gossipping (not a word? Who gives a F) i saw the owner and asked for my pay check. He said the soon to be manager had it so im going all over the place looking for him. It took me literally an hour to find him and when i get my paycheck its 3 hours and a half short!!! WTF! Thats $35 that i could use for lunch or metro cards. But they said they would add it to my hours for next weeks paycheck. Not bad considering i was only going to get paid $80 for the few hours i worked so now im expecting $115 if my math is correct.

Ok after all that the fun began! I got home, fired up my sexbox and boy did we make sweet love... That sounds disturbing, even for me but I'll let it slide hehe. Anyway i was playing fable3 all night and I became the King and ruler of Albion. This part of the game had to be the most difficult. The choices they give you are so hard, and for the sake of keeping all the promises i made throughout the game i had to sacrifice a lot of the money from the kingdom. In the long run it was a great ending and i really enjoyed it. Im still going back to it today and going to try and get all those easy achievements. Heck i mite even start a new story and be a bad ass instead of a good person.

Well JayVee is hungry so i gotta feed him! (Talking in 3rd person is cool)

Up & Coming

Ok fellow gamers this one is just for you.

Ok so i picked up fable3 on tuesday (not really picked up, amazon shipped it on tuesday morning), and the game is really good. I can see myself getting lost in the country of Albion for hours if i werent so busy with school and work. So far i feel like im about half way done. I payed about $61 on amazon and recieved a $20 gift card on amazon for my next game purchase. Silly amazon you dont know me.

This wasn't the only game releasing on tuesday. The force unleashed 2 was also released on the 26th and boy was that a major let down. I played the demo and was sold, but if your looking for an immersive story with crazy gameplay changing as you go along you will be sad to hear that you wont find this. The game is a short 6 hours long. Its repetitive and you start out with almost all your powers so you dont get rewarded for doing anything in the game. The levels all feel the same and the combat is really too repetitive. The best thing about the game is the beautiful graphics. The unreal engine has had a major overhaul and i wish games would look this good.

Releasing next tuesday is the new 007 game. Yes james bond is back... Again. Noy pierce brosnan james bond. The other short irish brolic guy. The game is said to include many different engines. You will have a shooter a driving engine with others to join the game. Its suppose to be really immersive. I dont know about picking it up because the last few bond games have left me dissapointed but i wil keep my eyes out on it.

Next is... Drums please...
Call of Duty: Black Ops:

We all know what this game is about so there isn't much i can say about it. Im really excited about the splitscreen multiplayer though. I can level up wile playing with my brother so neither of us misses a beat. Im also hyped about the wager matches and the new cod points with customization. But what im most hype about believe it or not is the return of the m14!!! Yes thats probably the most exciting thing for me but i cant wait for it. I ordered my copy on amazon and with that $20 gift card mentioned earlier im only paying $38 with release day delivery. Yup super excited about savings!

Next games would be Need for speed: hot pursuit and Assassins Creed: Brotherhood. Now if you havent checked out NFS:HP you need to get on your playstation network or xboxlive and download the demo. Its really fun and amazing. I'm glad to say i ordered my copy for $46 off of newegg.com saldy the price is now $56.99 with free shipping so you wont get that deal anymore. On the bright side if you love assassins creed your going love brotherhood a bit more. This is assy creed with multiplayer. Not only that but it has its own single player story! It just sounds almost too good to be true. Im happy to inform you that newegg.com has downed the pre-order price to a special $47 for a limited time. I already reserved my low price copy too. Be quick about it as the price is going to spike back up after halloween.

Now this is all for new releases in the next few weeks. These aren't all of the new games coming out but these are the most eye catchers (notice how i left kinect and all them gay ass kinect games out?). You may have noticed i shop for games online. This is because im lazy, i work, and go to school so i dont have time to go pick up the new games. I dont like gamestop and local mom&pop stores charge tax. Also amazon and newegg both do release day delivery and as stated above they have special gift cards and prices. So go and check them out!

Royal F*ck

Well good morning everyone! Hope you all slept as well as i did. My lazy butt got a whopping 14 hours of sleep. That power nap i spoke about in my last post turned into power deep sleep! I slept so much my body is still shut down!

Anywho i had crazy ass dreams wile being asleep but the one that i still remember is the following:

I was driving around england with princess Diana (remember her? Died in that freak car accident that people believe it wasnt really an accident) and we were having a bloody good time. It was so dam weird. She was really cool and at the end of the night we saw a flick, cant remember what it was but she seemed to love it and as i was driving her back to her *ehem* castle (yes she lived in a dam castle in my dream, dont ask plz) she told me she wanted to get away and live a normal life outside of royalty. I got so distracted listening to her that i wasnt paying attention to the road. To make things short and sweet... We almost ran straight into oncoming traffic i lost control of the car and we hit a tree.

The sad part is she flew out of the car and hit the tree too and died... Again. Then i woke up! How crazy is that. Poor Diana i would have rocked your royal world if you wouldn't have spoken so dam much.

Ok i need to start getting ready for school.

Home sweet home

Finally home from this disastrous day. My only day of the week that i worked ($80 paycheck next week). Im still sick and my fingertips are losing skin because of all the red meat i eat. Its really weird i know and they sting.

Work was crazy today as i came in and nothing was stocked. Lunch rush was crazy, i didnt stop moving from 10am to 4pm but on the lighter note i made $20 in tips today =)

Now that im finally home i want to play some fable3 and finish the revolution of Albion (if you dont know about fable your probably think im crazy, its ok.) But because im so tired from work i think i might pass.

See this is my thing. I love video games but as i keep moving on in life i find myself struggling to get my game on. With things like work, school, relationship, friendsh, and family in the mix i probably get 10% of gaming time out of the week now. It's alright i guess. I think im just being more responsible with my life then before where i would skip doing homework so i can reach 10th prestige! Not anymore.

Life is a beautiful thing, too short, and about a year ago i would have told you differently. I would always say i could day at anymoment and not even care or be scared because i have "lived my life" but nooo not anymore. Not after starting my path to success. Not after almost getting beaten to death by 5 guys jusr for a G1 and a metro card. Nope. Life is too beautiful and we need to wake up from our dream worlds and live it up!

Even if it means staying inside and playing your favorite game! Lol you'd probably think i have no life. I do, a nice quiet life and i love it. Could be better but no need to complain

5 express! BRONX BOUND

Hey everyone, hope everyone has had a better day then me today as my day sucked major culo (ass for the spanish deaf). I finally got a seat on the 5 train home from brooklyn bridge to prospect.

Right now im between 14st union sq and 42nd st grand central and as im writing this there is an old guy near me playing a psp. When i say old i dont mean 30 or 40 noooo this guy literally looks like he's in his 50's. Which leads me to my point of this post.

Gaming is for everyone!!! No really it is! We have games for toddlers all the way to games rated "M for mature". People would say this is a good thing right? The fact we have games for every type of person is great for companies like microsoft, sony and nintendo but for the hardcore gamers like myself these are the troubled times for our type of games.

Now you may think im crazy or i dont know what im talking about hear me out for a sec. The gaming industry has changed dramatically over the last year. Games have become more noob friendly (too easy) just to make the games appealing to the population and because of these changes the harcore gamers like myself are stuck with crappy games. Yea you can tell me to stfu and not buy them but really do i have a choice?

Let me give you an example: CoD4 was an amazing game. I loved it and it still remains one of the most appealing games to me but due to graphics being outdated and the engine too many people dont play it anymore... Then comes Mw2 s*sigh* where to start with this one. They made this game more user friendly on all aspects. Care packages with killstreaks, super shotguns crazy quick scopes etc etc. This game was too easy and got boring really fast. I havent touched the game for the last 4 months which for me is very sad.

Unfortanetly the gaming industry is stuck going this direction with systems bringing out motion control equipment like the ps move or the 360 kinect! We as real gamers are stuck with this. They are forgetting who supported them thru the ugly and still to this day support them. I myself will never own a kinect or a wii or a playstation move. I dont want to jump up and down when i play a game and i dont want to be standing and looking like a total retard who also has add wile playing a game. (Watch Someone really getting into guitar hero with the guitar).

With that being said im reaching the ghe... The bronx so i need to wrap this up. Live, love, game-on!

Yes yes yes... On my way to work. Havent gone to work since last week thanks to this damn cold. I still think it has to do with getting punched in my balls by my friend who will remain nameless unless he wishes me to blow his name up. I am feeling better and am on my way to work!

Popped the cherry

OK don't let your mind get carried away because of the title. I'm clearly stating that i have finally popped my blogging cherry! Why did it take me so long to start a blog? Was it because i was too busy gaming? Because of work? Because of school? Because i was trying to maintain a relationship? Maybe just laziness and lack of will is more like it.

First and foremost this blog wont be about games! (Not entirely lol). It will be mostly about a life of a regular gamer. Sure i will post what i think about certain games and news about others but its mostly about the average gamer lives his life. I will even be blogging about gadgets and gizmo's and other tech related "stuff". I might also throw in some sports into this from time to time. Now that i think about it this blog is starting to sound like a normal life a of a lazy dude. Ha! Fucket.

I have always considered myself to be a part of "the gamer" sub-culture but i don't think i take it to the extreme like most readers would think. I don't buy every game i like and i don't waste all my money on games. I work and go to college (talk about this in another post) and recently i have lost the time to play video games. Sure i make sure to get some dosage even if its on my phone but life doesn't always grant me the spare time to do as i please anymore.

I don't have a goal or a direct direction to go with this but i will be happy to take criticism even if its harsh! I will be doing most of my blogging on my phone since its always with me and whenever i feel like venting or sharing some stories I can just pull out my phone and blog away.

That being said, sorry for any grammatical errors or spelling errors. I'm typing on my phone and the app i use to blog doesn't correct my spelling or grammar. (Blogger-droid) If any of my readers/followers know of a better way to do mobile blogging please drop a comment with the know-how.
